For Exhibitors
The Down Under Expo has already assisted thousands of Irish People to emigrate and start a new life in Australia & New Zealand since first held in 2005. Now in its fifth year, but 6th consecutive exhibition, the Down Under Expo is the only event of its kind in Ireland.
Why Exhibit?
From 2005 to 2008 (5 x Exhibitions) The Down Under Expo attracted people choosing to emigrate for lifestyle and quality of life reasons rather than economic deprivation that was the hallmark of Irish Emigration however this is all about to change; the latest economic forecast from The Economic and Social Research Institute reports that Ireland is in the grip of an economic recession for the first time in 25 years. The Institute forecasts that unemployment will exceed 7% by the end of the year and raises the prospect of a return to net emigration for the first time since the 1980’s; net emigration refers to the number of people leaving Ireland exceeding the number of people coming to Ireland to work.

WHAT OTHER EXHIBITORS HAVE SAID
“Congratulations on organising a phenomenally successful event last weekend. Immigration New Zealand was delighted with the results. INZ staff met a large number of target market clients and ran out of our entire stock of brochures on the second day. Well Done”. Ian Riddle Marketing Director, Immigration New Zealand Government.
“Well done for the success of the expo and thank you for all the assistance you gave us on the days when it was running. We had a very positive experience and got a lot out of it, as seemed to be the case for many of the people that were there as well”. Adrian Hawkes, Promotions Manager, Skilled Migration Unit, DIAC Australian High Commission, London.
“We are still recovering and the voice is nearly gone…a good complaint. We were overwhelmed by the response and the level of enquiries at our stand and we are working round the clock at present to send information to all of our enquirers and we are more than hopeful of substantial business from the expo”. Liz O'Hagan, Australian Visa Specialists.
“We at the Migration Bureau found that the Show exceeded all our expectations. The shows attracted a large number of “class A” attendees who were not only eligible to migrate under the official immigration criteria but were also serious about starting the emigration process. The Migration Bureau will certainly be attending next year's shows. Grant King MIGRATION BUREAU.
“ I was very happy with the attendance numbers and quality….You will be pleased to know that I gave away all our handouts on the first day to however I photocopied 150 more for the next day. I almost passed out at 3pm on the first day. Well done mate. Only regret I did not see much of Ireland”. Mike Underwood, State Manager, MHS Recruitment & Training
